Ohio Street Beach Practices
9:00 - 10:00a on June 24, July 15, Others dates TBA
No Sunday 3pm practices this summer. Will begin Monday &
Wednesday Centennial Beach practices the 2nd week of June weather
dependent.

We are ADULTS mostly from towns in southern DuPage county in Illinois,
such as Naperville, Aurora, Lisle, Wheaton, Downers Grove, Woodridge, Hinsdale, Joliet.
Swim at two Edward Fitness Centers:
- 775 Brom Dr, just west of Edward Hospital on Washington St in Naperville
- 6600 Rt. 53, 7 Bridges, Woodridge, north of Hobson Rd & south of movie theater
| Summer time also swim outdoors in open water - weather permitting |
- usually in Naperville at Centennial Beach on Monday & Wednesday at 6 p.m. Centennial is open if the air temp is above 65 degrees on the Weather Channel. If you are not sure if we are having practice - call the beach & see if it is open.
- occasionally in Lake Michigan at Ohio Street Beach
Winter time join an optional training trip to warm places like Key West, Aruba and Bermuda.

Swim practices are one of three levels:
1. Beginner 2. Intermediate 3. Advanced
Most practices are one hour long. A few are longer.
Competition - optional
Competing in Masters Swimming or Triathlons is encouraged but is not required. With over 200 swimmers, we are usually represented at most Illinois meets. At least one of the nine Waves coaches attends these meets. With such a large group, you have usually have an opportunity to swim in one or more relay events.

Winter season: November 15, 2010 - May 15, 2011
Training trip to Islamoralda, Florida Keys: Mar. 2-6 Wed.-Sun. PDF
Summer season: June 1, 2011 - September 30, 2011.

- All Waves swimmers are registered members of the ILMSA
- ILMSA is a Local Masters Swimming Committee of United States Masters Swimming
- ILMSA governs Masters swimming for most of the state of Illinois
- At swim meets within the state, Waves swimmers represent Naperville Waves
- At regional or National meets, we combine with other Illinois teams and compete as Team Illinois Masters.
